The Link & Option Center, an accredited outpatient community mental health center for 28 years with locations in South Holland and Hazel Crest, presented Pamela McElvane, CEO of Diversity MBA Media, with a 2022 League of Legends Champion Award at its Evening at the OSCARS Gala on July 30 at Olympia Fields Country Club.

Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox has named Matt Renn its new vice president of finance.

Renn, who joined Silver Cross on July 11, is responsible for overseeing its long range financial planning process.

Orland Park resident Terrance Hopson has been promoted at Western Governors University to the position of regional vice president for the Midwest region.

Hopson will lead university operations across a nine-state region and further raise its profile among prospective students, alumni and external partners in the region.

Frankfort’s Ryan Mitchell, who is a graduate of Lincoln-Way East, is one of 22 members of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men’s and women’s tennis teams who were named 2022 Intercollegiate Tennis Association Scholar-Athletes.

Miles Hagen, a native of New Lenox and graduate of Lincoln-Way West, is one of 18 members of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater men’s soccer team who were named to the 2021-22 Coast-To-Coast Athletic Conference All-Academic Team .

Oak Lawn’s Allison Riordan was among two dozen Baldwin Wallace University students who took their learning off campus for part of the 2021-2022 academic year.

Riordan, a graduate of Mother McAuley High School majoring in theater acting and directing, traveled to Ormskirk, England for an individualized immersion experience at Edge Hill University.

John Tamburo of New Lenox was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. He was initiated at Drury University.
